If the data are entered manually in CRP or Excel (old style survey, dead distoX, etc.), the splay Directions won't be correct as not calculated. The Direction should be (re)calculated when clicking on "calculate", to ensure correct display of the splays in Sections mode or at least to have the option to do so.
Yes, calculation of splay directions works only at import.
I think, we have to extend the feature "Data-Replace-Direction Azimuth" to "Data-Replace-Direction Calculate": - calculate direction of survey shot to predefined azimuth (-1, 1) - calculate splay directions to the azimuth of survey shot (e.g. 0,46)
