I found the way to move/delete profiles in Excel but not directly in CRP, it would be great to be able to move it (only accessible in Excel), delete it (only doable in Excel).
- The 3 profile fields are hidden and should be visible/editable in CRP/Data.
- being able to move (drag&drop)/delete profiles in Drawing.
Also, some stations often have (too?) many splays in all directions (e.g. describing a big chamber) and this can make the actual profile at the station hard to understand/draw. I can think of three approches to try to improve the profile tool:
- profile only display splays close to a "profile critical angle" (would be based on LRUDs I suppose). It would be automated but would lack of flexibility: it won't work in case the angular distance between the profile splay plane and the LRUD plane is significantly different.
- defining profile splays in Data: right mouse click> set as profile splay> status field flagged as "p". > If one or more splays at the station are flagged as "p", then only display these; > If no splay defined as "p" at the station, then all splays are displayed. This would require a good acquisition method to make it "easy" when it comes to set the splays as profile splays (e.g. at station LRUDs, then profile splays, then the rest of the splays), but it would allow more flexibility.
- A mix a the 2 above to allow automation and flexibility. > If one or more splays at the station are flagged as "p", then only display these > If no splay defined as "p" at the station, profile splays are automated based on profile critical angle.
