Aus dem CaveRenderPro-Workshop auf der VdHK-Jahrestagung in Breitscheid kamen folgende größere Wünsche auf:

1) Export der Zeichnungen als Overlay für Google Earth

2) Funktion zur automatischen Erstellung eines Rahmens um den Plan mit Beschriftung (Höhlenname, Nummer, Tiefe, Länge, ...)

Was meint ihr dazu?

About overlays:

The benefit of exporting drawings as *.kmz overlays is the possibility to display them in Google Earth for PC/mobiles or GIS applications. All GIS applications like QGIS or ArcGIS are able to import *.kmz overlays. This tools are focused to manage various satellite images or maps.

About OpenTopoMaps:

I like this map in german topo style. On my Android I use Locus Map to display it online and offline. And the best, Locus Map could import *.kmz overlays.

Durch eure Ideen aus den CaveRenderPro-Workshop gibt es zwei neue Features:

1) Release 10.0.0 - Zeichnungen als Overlay für Google Earth

2) Release 10.1.0 - Plankopf als Zeichenelement

About surveyor list:

Now I simply add the surveyor of the first survey shot (only).


About grids:

I think about generating grid for the drawings. But turning UTM grid drawing to true north smells difficult.

Could you mail me a CRP example file?

Your plan is located at the UTM coordinates of the entrance



and the survey shots are located at 0,0 (5000 km away). This is to large for any the export.



Cause: You had transfered the survey shots to geographic north and switched later to UTM grid.

Fix: Delete the wrong survey shots at 0,0
