Thanks again. By trial and error I discovered that smaller rotation increments are possible using keys: bigger increments ctrl - alt - mouse wheel. smaller incrments fn - alt - mouse wheel. REgards, Mark T.
I have struggled to show water pools because it requires a blue boundary line to be drawn first and then shading added according to open or sump. It's hard to get the two elements to match well enough and I often need to redraw the shading where it spillls across the blue bounday line and doesn't quite reach it. For long streamways (I just finished drawing up about 5km streamway from Meghalaya India). Can we please have a drawing option that combines both the bounday line and shading in one go for each, open water and sump? Thanks
Thanks, I tried that out and it works OK. Some lack of fidelity on colour fill though. Also I had to rotate the drawing elements slightly to fit the survey skeleton using keys fn - alt- mouse wheel. Cheers, Mark T.
I am seeing erratic LRUD results at many stations when I use Data/Calculate/LRUDs. Can you please inform how the LRUD calculation is made? I want best possible LRUDs so that Visualisation/Volume displays can be made without anomalies. Thanks
I have a cave with entrance coordinates (of course!) but also 3 survey stations that have been radio located from the surface to increase accuracy with lat/long and depth. Please can you advise how best to tie the cave survey to the radio location points?
I have some caves where surveying started with Series 1.0 a few 100m inside the cave and then a survey series joined to the entrance later. How do I reference the cave coordinates and elevation to the actual entrance? It seems stuck at Series 1.0 down inside the cave. Thanks.
This looks a powerful editting feature but after editting table OK in excel eg. changing date of survey, the load option pop-up 'Import Spreadsheet' only gives an error 'File CaveRenderPro.txt could not be fully loaded. Error in Line 2.' I tried this with my own data but also with the example files supplied and got same result. What am I doing wrong?
Thankyou so much, I see how this works now and will work in this way with instruments and dates all set correctly so that declination changes are accounted for. Mark T.
I exported .txt file from new version of Compass but get error message 'No Compass Format in file ....' when trying to load it to CRP . There are some alpha charcters in the survey point names. Is that a problem for CRP? Thanks for the assistance
I have been loading cave survey data and merging data sets by copying and pasting into a 'master cave' file as recommended on forum. But what happens to data declination value when you copy and paste it? Is it now using the receiving file declination or is the old declination preserved? Also please inform what you recommend as best procedure for loading pocket topo data files with 'Actual Trip' option used and different declinations and biographical/instrument changes present within the same file? Must the file be split up? We had a long survey program in a 14km cave interrupted by covid and declination change was significant. Thanks.
